I check his page at http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/c/glen-cook/ and noticed that the first two books were published in 2005 and 2007. His next book probably won't be released until 2009. I have some of these in various old SF & Fantasy magazines. All in one volume with so much as a single new word from Cook would be fantastic. WIll be. The shorts are pretty good, unlike the Black COmpany stuff I don't believe any of the Dread Empire stories turned up as passages in the novels; the Raker Caper from Black Company was originally published in... I'm gonna say Astounding before it turned up in the novel.

That's excellent news about the Dread Empire short stories. It was fun collecting the magazines, but it will be better to have it all in one book that I'm not afraid will fall apart when I read it. :-) The Raker short story was in Fantasy & SF magazine. Steve
