Release of "A Path to Coldness of Heart" Delayed
Over the weekend I got a message from Amazon explaining that the shipping date for my pre-ordered copy of A Path to Coldness of Heart has been delayed until January 19, 2012. (It was originally scheduled to ship in early November, I think.) Larry
It's always been scheduled for January, but I think this means it was pushed back a week. I saw a copy of the mass-market paperback of Surrender to the Will of the Night this weekend. It officially comes out tomorrow, but as always, some stores put books out early. It has NO mention of Working the Gods' Mischief, which leaves me wondering about plans for that one... *SPOILERS* I was unsure whether there would be another Garrett book as I though Mr Cook could quite easily finish it there. We had seen Garrett make a decision on his love life. Colonel Westman had the guard covering most things too. I would love more Garrett but who knows Alan On Mon, Oct 31, 2011 at 4:39 PM, <c01demp@aol.com> wrote:

When I spoke to him at Archon the first weekend in October, he said he does have at least one Garrett book in the pipe, hopefully for release late 2012/2013. On 10/31/2011 6:39 PM, Alan Rimes wrote:

Did he say anything about Working the Gods' Mischief? How pleased is he to finally get A Path to Coldness of Heart written and released? Or did you chat about the weather? ;-)
Unfortunately, I didn't ask. Just about the Garrett series. On 10/31/2011 11:21 PM, Marc Rikmenspoel wrote:

After Gilden Latten Bones, I thought Garret was done too but I'm happy that you're right: Amazon has a new Garrett coming out in Feb 2012: http://www.amazon.com/Garrett-Takes-Case-Glen-Cook/dp/0451464362/ref=sr_1_2?... I think Garrett takes the case is a re-issue of the older SF club omnibus edition, titled, I think, Garrett, P. I. that contained Old Tin Sorrows, Dread Brass Shadows, and Red Iron Nights. Although this apparent re-issue is a praiseworthy endeavour (which I hope will be a financial success for all concerned), it will, of course, tell us nothing further about the next part in the lives of Garrett and associates... When will Strafa get pregnant, will they move to The Hill, what will the denizens of The Hill make of The Dead Man and, for that matter, Garrett himself? Doc Dand on and on... The book, Garrett Takes the Case, is an omnibus of books 4 to 6, Old Tin Sorrows (1989), Dread Brass Shadows (1990), and Red Iron Nights (1991). The next and probably the last of the Garrett, P.I. books probably will be released in 2012 or 2013.
