Any interest in discussing a D&D 5E port for Garrett, PI?
Based on prior disussion, this idea has been percolating at the back of my head. Is anybody interested in discussing it? 5E wouldn't be a perfect fit, but it has the benefits of beibg readily accessible, popular enough to catch current interest, and decent modularity. NOTE: This would totally be a fan-hack. There is no commercial viability in this idea due to copyright and licensing issues.

Are you familiar with the Green Ronin Black Company RPG, published in 2004? It was D&D 3.5. The magic system wasn't quite right, but there was a lot of material in the book. <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Black_Company_(role-playing_game)> It doesn't seem to be commercially available, although the Internet Archive has a PDF. <https://archive.org/details/GreenRoninTheBlackCompanyCampaignSetting/mode /2up> -- John Dallman, jgd@cix.co.uk
I have a copy of that one! There may be another system that's a better fit, as well, if 5e isn't quite your jam. On Thu, Dec 19, 2024, 6:45 PM John Dallman <jgd@cix.co.uk> wrote:

I am. I have the hardcopy and the pdf freebies. Whike I enjoy it, I think Garrett might be a more playable setting. On Thu, Dec 19, 2024 at 5:45 PM, John Dallman<jgd@cix.co.uk> wrote: > Based on prior disussion, this idea has been percolating at the
