I've mentioned before my theory that Tor is repositioning The Instrumentalities of the Night as a trade paperback series. It has been announced on Amazon and on Barnes & Noble's site that The Tyranny of the Night comes out in trade paperback on April 13 next year. Now Amazon is showing that Lord of the Silent Kingdom comes out in trade paperback 4 months later, on August 17. I guess this means that Surrender to the Will of the Night won't be released until at least 4 months later, and thus December of 2010 at the earliest :-( Hopefully, Working the Gods' Mischief will be complete by then, and can come out not too much later.... Nightshade still has no date announced for the Dread Empire Sequels omnibus, including the newly-rewritten conclusion to the story. I hope that becomes available in the next year too!
Hey hey! Thanks for the info! What os "Working the God's Miscieif?" I haven't heard that one yet. --- On Thu, 11/26/09, Marc Rikmenspoel <marcrik@gmail.com> wrote: From: Marc Rikmenspoel <marcrik@gmail.com> Subject: [Glencook-fans] Lord of the Silent Kingdom To: "Glen Cook: Science Fiction/Fantasy Author" <glencook-fans@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Thursday, November 26, 2009, 12:15 AM I've mentioned before my theory that Tor is repositioning The Instrumentalities of the Night as a trade paperback series. In interviews, Cook has indicated that the third Instrumentalities book is titled Surrender to the Will of the Night, and this is probably the actual title. That manuscript was turned in to Tor already many months ago. Cook said, also months ago, that he was working on the fourth Instrumentalities book, and that the projected title, subject to change, was Working the Gods' Mischief. Thank you much! I love that series so far. Of course, he hasn't done anything I haven't liked! --- On Thu, 11/26/09, Marc Rikmenspoel <marcrik@gmail.com> wrote: From: Marc Rikmenspoel <marcrik@gmail.com> Subject: Re: [Glencook-fans] Lord of the Silent Kingdom To: "Glen Cook: Science Fiction/Fantasy Author" <glencook-fans@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Thursday, November 26, 2009, 8:48 PM In interviews, Cook has indicated that the third Instrumentalities book is titled Surrender to the Will of the Night, and this is probably the actual title.
