And let's not forget that buried in the story is a publication date for Port of Shadows. I was beginning to think we'd seen the last of new books from Glen.

I'm more worried about how they will handle certain scenes.

For example, when they discover Darling - will they show or imply what was happening to her when she was rescued?

How about showing the men cutting loose when they uncover Whisper's papers? I can't see them having the "heroes" of the company raping the defeated Amazon company.

Or some of the other nasty stuff?

In short, I fear the evils committed by the company will be whitewashed...

And having a big name as The Lady? That strongly implies that she will appear sooner (and more often) in the movies than in the books.  That or we will see things that Croaker doesn't, which will be a big departure for the story.

Still, overall, I see this as a good thing.  It should get more people reading the books, and if they make this show it will put lots of cash in Cook's pocket.  Jim Butcher was a best selling urban fantasy writer for years before he got a short running TV show and he credits that show for making him financially secure.
