I feel the same way. I loved the Garrett P.I. series and the readers were left hanging. The same thing happened to me with the Thraxas series, written by Martin Scott, a pseudonym for Martin Millar. Thraxas is also a fat P.I. in a universe populated by orcs and other creatures. The author wrote eight books and left everyone hanging. Then he published three more 8 to 11, and once again needs to close the series out but I have not seen anything at all.
