I actually enjoyed the book, after the first few chapters. I like the idea of "UFO Greys" being interpreted as "silver elves," and how those silver elves want to relearn lust and pleasure. Also, this book sets up Garrett's future financial security, via one of Kip Prose's inventions.

Amazon and Barnes & Noble are now showing the cover to Angry Lead Skies in the new-style format. The book isn't listed as having been reprinted, or being scheduled for such, but the cover now mentions "author of Cruel Zinc Melodies." So perhaps one will be released soon. Presumably, if they were to release a reprint later in the year, it would mention, "author of Gilded Latten Bones." Then again, this could be simply an updated cover for the e-book version, though I hope it means something more....

If you're going to skip one Garrett book…

You miss a couple of bad running jokes and avoid the hackneyed story of how Garrett hooked up with a boy genius inventor.

No big loss.
