Usually the con has a list of Dealers attending listed on their website prior to the start of the con, so you could confirm in advance that way that he would be attending. 1 day memberships are often available for conventions if you don't want to do the whole thing. The next date isn't until next fall.
He's happy to sign books for people at his table in dealer's room.
