I'm sure you're all aware that Tor is letting the demand for the next 2 omnibuses build up. Later this year, by my best guess, the omnibus of Bleak Seasons and She is the Darkness will be out, followed next spring by the final omnibus of Water Sleeps and Soldiers Live. By then, the next new Black Company novel might even be ready ;-)

These reissues are certainly popular. The first omnibus is now on to its 6th printing. I was at my local Borders last week, and saw a copy, and it was in the thicker spine version Tor used for the first 3 or so printings, before they switched to thinner spines for later printings and for the second omnibus and for the two most recent Malzan books. i thought it might be a leftover older copy, but it was a brand new 6th printing. I notice these things because I'm anal retentive as hell, and I don't actually yet own the Black Company omnibuses (since I have mass market paperbacks of them all). I intend to eventually get the omnibuses, and it will bother me greatly if I end up with one volume with a narrow spine, and one with a thick spine!!!

Anyway, waiting a year or so to read Glittering Stone is a pittance, after how long many of us have waited to read the final Dred Empire volume ;-)
