That's some excellent news! :-) Is the small press Night Shade Books? I just bought _Cruel Wind_ an omnibus of the first three Dread Empire books there. http://www.nightshadebooks.com/book.aspx?bookid=141 They also have Sung in Blood. I hope he does use the small press for "Butcher's Apprentice" since I'd love to see that one in print. Steve * On Tue 10/10/06 at 13:32, Stacey Harris (harrissg@slu.edu) wrote:
I spoke briefly with Glen at Archon on Sunday.
Tidbits:
1) Second volume in "Tyranny of the Night" is due out in February or so.
2) More Garrett books are in the offing.
3) There's a small press that has begun systematically reissuing Glen's huge out-of-print list. In particular, I asked him about "Heirs of Babylon" (one of my favorites--very dark post-apocalyptic Earth novel, never seen it talked about), and he said that's one that will be reissued.
4) Still no takers for "Butcher's Apprentice"; seems no one's interested in a crime novel "that's as long as 'Lord of the Rings'". I asked if he'd consider small press for that, and he said he might.
