My guess is that the third and fourth Instrumentalities books will be trade paperback originals, rather than hardcover. As such, they are relaunching the series by putting out trade paperbacks of The Tyranny of the Night and Lord of the Silent Kingdom, so that people can get uniform collections of the series, to put on the shelf next to the Black Company trade paperbacks. That's my best guess, at any rate.
