I took Mom home a little after 9pm, both she and Dad seemed ok with parting. Earlier Dad had said a very tender prayer that had Mom in tears. I didn't hear all of it, but it was mostly giving thanks. Especially for her, and for us. I was near to tears as well. Just before we left, Mom asked me to say one as well.

I strongly encouraged Dad to press the call button any time he needed something, or was in pain. I told him that the worst that could happen with asking for pain relief, was that they might say "not yet". So don't worry about keeping track of time, just push the button.

He gave Ann & I a "shopping list" of stuff he wanted from home, and he was happy to get it. Essentials like masking tape, string, and binder clips. That really made me smile. If he's thinking of crafting improvements to his surroundings, he must be feeling a bit better.

Tonight Poppa won't have any family staying with him since overnight visitors aren't allowed at the rehab center. Since the past two nights have been filled with pain & lacking sleep he's very uneasy about this. Mom's worried about this also. Please keep him in your prayers tonight.
Love,
Annie
