If only it were true.......alas
Jim, you posted the following with the fotd 31 Jan 09: Until then, take care, and whatever it is, it's all in the mind. Does this mean if we change our mind(s) we change reality? Do we each have our own "reality" in our thoughts? If so, how then can there be any agreement about anything between two or more individuals about anything, not to even consider the fact that according to your statement, something not in my mind doesn't exist. Just asking.......... David M Fisher

Except for cats which are killed by curiosity, except for Schrödinger's cat, which was only half-killed.
Actually, until the box is opened, the state of Schrödinger's cat is indeterminate. Being in the quantum probabilistic wave state, it might not actually be in the box. It might even be one of the fractal cats. -- David gnome@hawaii.rr.com authenticity, honesty, community

There are a lot of people that have done this and are still doing this. The only problem is that most have been diagnosed with Chronic Paranoid Schizophrenia, and have developed a psychosis (hallucinations and delusions).
Not the clever ones.... Madness is like exam results; the border is defined by social convention such that just the 'right' people are sane. I like to think that reality is mental convention (not that I thought it up, excuse the pun); the mind itself causes the collapse of the quantum superposition thus creating physical reality, but en masse, the less minds thinking it, the less real it is, reality is democratic, but not necessarily correct and the insane are just heretics. Yes it is all in the mind, and yes reality is what kills you....

Back in the late 1960's and early 1970's, "reality" (and my mind) changed quite a few times. But eventually everything returned back to "normal", as soon as the effects wore off. ;-} Later, P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/
