And some day such work will fund the provision of a much faster Fractal generating box, to speed your FOTD searches!
It's noon of Monday, June 21, and things are still hectic here at F.C. The FOTD delay is not due to a slow machine. I have four fast computers. The problem is that when the work gets as heavy as it is now, I am busy up to 16 hours a day, and lack the time to even boot up Fractint, much less search for interesting fractals and write the discussion. Right now, it looks like I'll be caught-up around Thursday, and the next FOTD will appear then, but that is no promise.
Oh, I wasn't thinking of that, I was thinking more in terms of rendering times. I noticed some lengthy rendering times in some of your discussions, and figured that you probably weren't devoting your fast machines to Fractint. Of course, is Fractint dwelling on its own machine? If so, you could just leave it up all the time and do fractal stuff more frequently ...

P.S. The fractal cats are doing well.
I'm not sure but that our two cats aren't also fractal. They're four years apart in age, the older one weighs roughly twice that of the younger, both are black and arrived in completely random ways (one found in our local shopping center's parking lot, one found at my daughter's high school library's parking lot) ... and as they've iterated through the years, they're getting more and more self-similar ...
