. I just purchased ubuntu linux; I am going to buy a new system soon (there will be 6 PC's in my house now) and as soon as I get it, format the HD to lose vista f'n shmista, and install dual boot with Win XP and Linux. I am doing this cause I wanna learn Linux and hopefully dump MS altogether eventually. Queshun is: Is XFractint (fractint for linux) as good as DOS fractint? Anyone here have experience with it? How does it compare? Assuming I develop confidence with linux (of course), is it worth it to use xfractint then or should I continue with DOS? Any comments welcome. Thanx. JoTz .

Its almost identical; it doesn't have integer math support and there are some fractal types therefore missing. -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline" -- DirectX 9 draft available for download <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/download/index.html> Legalize Adulthood! <http://blogs.xmission.com/legalize/>
