Hi! I'using Fractint into a DOS Box. When I enlarge the image, oblique lines are seen as saws, due to lack of precision. My question is: how can I increase the visual definition of fractint images? Thanks for your attention.
I think that is the great tradeoff with Fractint—it is fast on integer-centric hardware because of its lack of precision. But perhaps there are tricks unknown to me! On Fri, Mar 1, 2024 at 10:32 AM Ricardo Forno <ricardo.forno@gmail.com> wrote:

What resolution are you generating your images at? On Fri, Mar 1, 2024 at 8:32 AM Ricardo Forno <ricardo.forno@gmail.com> wrote:

The problem is that I`m getting the same problem with the starting image that automatically appears after installation. Years ago, I got beautiful and precise images, such as the one I'm attaching, and it was generated in a very old PC and an old Fractint version. I'm really confused with this problem. Please excuse me for my English. My mother's tongue is Spanish. It seems Grammarly doesn't like how I write.. El vie, 1 mar 2024 a las 13:29, Bill Jemison (<bill.jemison@gmail.com>) escribió:

Ricardo - unfortunately, attachments don't work on this list. But try this - after starting fractint enter <del> and you can choose a different resolution. Try <SF7> (1024x768x256colors) or <SF9> (1280x1024x256colors). I have used DosBox with many versions of fractint and it works beautifully for my needs.
