My initial thought was that it's a very somber image; my "view" of the image brightened when I discovered the pair of colorful "wheels" in the "shoulders" of the figure. My appreciation of the wheels increased when I realized that their coloring was not the usual concentric pattern, but rather overlays on the wheel in an arc from a larger wheel. Further study shows many pleasing patterns emphasized by shape, rather than color.
