Albrecht, Those four Mandeloids at your 22222-53 image's edges sure have an interesting creation midway between them. I need to be able to zoom into this image! And, I'm not sure exactly why, but I find the fractal's colors strangely pleasant -- perhaps similar to Victorian-era curtains(?) An interesting image - I note that the colors are from Sylvie Gallet. As I recall, she developed a "PHC" - pseudo high color - method which allowed fractint to render "high-color" images. Is her methodology similar to your multifrac technique?
