Discovery of Fractal Lasers
The article at the page below describes and mathematically models the light patterns of fractal laser modes. It says: "Looking down each column, one sees progressive development of additional small-scale details as the aspect ratio of each cavity is increased. Some of these output laser modes looked strikingly like 'laser snowflakes'!" The fractal laser modes mathematically modeled by Fresnel diffraction shown in the last set of images clearly look fractal in structure, as do the patterns in the lower rows of their grid of actual patterns. http://tinyurl.com/Discovery-of-Fractal-Lasers or: http://www.salford.ac.uk/computing-science-engineering/research/materials-ph ysics/applied-optics/fractal-lasers - Hal Lane ######################## # hallane@earthlink.net ######################## --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
