Don´t understand, why there is no response to what I´m doing. After all the Mandelbrot is the basic fractal and it is the reason fractals are part of our civilization. ; Many people are interested in the Mandel mystery. Some of them go on a long zooming trip, you all have seen the animations available on youtube, there are some which last more then an hour and have been calculated with supercomputers. Others modify the formula and explore different shapes and sizes, like Edward Montague - is he watching ? Like always I do my own thing and explore interactions between few or many items. For me this is much more interesting, especially as apparently no one has done it before. I´m excited about what I´m going to detect - an absolutely stunning result are today´s images. I tried to use the full Multifractal spectrum, 5 times mandel, to leave no open spaces. Yesterday´s image 22222-01 is the successful result. If you look at image 22222-11 it´s the one where most mandel items meet. Image 22222-13 is a deep zoom into a special spot. Look carefully and you will detect that it in fact is not a chaotic image, there are a lot of "hidden" structures which nowhere alse are available in mandel zooms. And then image 22222-15: It hit me like a bomb, the most beautiful and interesting spiral I´ve ever seen. It contains smaller versions of the previous image too. And then there are circles with new items of reality. Other spirals contain completely different items. I´ve said it earlier: an expression as complex as the mandelbrot must be part of our universe. David, don´t think it´s a good advise as Mike said it cannot run MFR_14-2 or only sometimes but then the image will not be the same.I think. Maybe Mike can do something. But the DosBox SVN Daum http://ykhwong.xo.st/ can do it, just tested the Mandel_Spiral, but very slow. I think it can be used on Android too. Albrecht On 08.02.2018 19:54, David W. Jones wrote:

Oh, I wasn't meaning in the context of running your formula. He's been without Fractint since moving to Mac, so Fracton would enable him to "get his fractal on" in the meantime. On February 8, 2018 9:57:39 AM HST, Albrecht Niekamp <Multifrac@t-online.de> wrote:

Thank you David, just downloaded the pgm - now I have to learn how to use it. Any helpless anywhere?

If I had a PC i would be running your mfr pars- I switched to a mac about 12 years ago and I am too involved with other things to set up a working Fractint on my machine…I will be getting a Ryzen system this summer and then will have to deal with setting up the program under Windows. People are watching.

Alex, App you have not read my reply: Mike Frazier, the Fracton author said that the MFR software only sometimes produces correct images. You quoted my message which was also the reference but corrupted As I am still waiting for some response will repeat it in a new message Albrecht ; qte message Feb,01 Mike Frazier I have never been able to consistently get the same images with the multi fractal formula when using Fracton. Sometimes I get the same image and sometimes I don't. unqte ; Pls Mike tell me if you tested MFR_14_2 because I eliminated the problem of the variable digits after the dot and let us know if you made any progress. Thanks You

Albrecht, I briefly tried using the formula from your start folder. I remembered why it was difficult to try it in Fracton when I tried it a few years back. I need to check several things by hand to make sure Fracton imported them correctly. The first try gave compilation errors when I tried to run it. Hopefully, I will have time to work on it next weekend. -- Mike Frazier www.fracton.org
