FOTD -- June 12, 2013 (Rating A-6,M-6) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's moth-eaten image lies in the same parent fractal as yesterday's image. But instead of lying on the southern edge of the 'fan', it lies in a tiny valley in a small hole along the X-axis at the eastern edge of the fan. Because of the current phone and e-mail spying flap, I am currently reading the novel '1984' for the third time. The name of today's image, "Two Plus Two Equals Five", came about when I remembered what poor Winston had not only to say but also to know was true. The image's ratings show that I truthfully believe that both the artistic and mathematical values are near average. The greatest drawback of the image is its annoyingly slow calculation time of 25 minutes on the typical SOTA PC machine, though I hear it will run faster on a SOTA MAC. But don't be alarmed by the slowness. Remember the FOTD web sites, which can always save the day.
