I wonder if anyone on the list has installed Xfractint in Ubuntu? I've just abandoned Microsoft, and my Media Centre machine is now totally dedicated to Ubuntu 7.4, (Gutsy Gibbon). Very much a Linux newbie, I've downloaded Xfractint and tried to install it and run it in Terminal. It doesn't... yet! I just get a very transient message that Xfractint can't find something... a .HLP file is what it looks like, although why that should influence anything I can't say! I installed in my Desktop and maybe this is the problem? Help! John W.
