You know, Albrecht, I believe you would be far more appreciated if you would just SLOW DOWN A LITTLE. I was a fervent follower of yours when you first started to post to this forum, but you lost me a long time ago. Used to investigate a few of your fractals and do an occasional zoom. Now I just look at your pretty pictures. Couldn't cope with a daily change in long, long frm's, plus a guided tour of available online storage facilities . (Why don't you have your own website)? Anyway. Happy New Year, and thanks for all the fractals. (apologies to Douglas Adams). John W. On 31 December 2015 at 11:29, Multifrac@t-online.de <Multifrac@t-online.de> wrote:

Since then no more updates to mfr14_2 were published..And a time of more then 10 years is not that fast, isn´t it ? I´m sticking with Cubby since July without problems - only from time to time I must use the cloud space for other purposes and after that the link has changed, sorry for that. But I see the problem - other users share it with you - : I´m extending the limits of Fractint and to do so I have to do things which are not easy to follow or understand, breaking the rules so to speak. For instance I use the inputs in a way not intended by the original authors and the whole Multifractal concept is not easy to understand. I only will mention the problem how to tell the frm when to stop iterating or go on to the next participating formula, starting to iterate again or go on iterating - still calculating the same pixel. I have tried more then once to explain the whole story but every time had to learn that no one else was willing or able to follow.. As far as I know only Jonathan and (partly) Hal and Paul understand what´s going on. But it´s my Baby and to know that you´re the only one in the world creating this kind of fractal images is worth every effort. Agreed? Albrecht, If you're familiar with le Guin, I'm surprised that you don't know Douglas Adams. I was irresistibly reminded of "So long and thanks for all the fish" when I thanked you for all your fractals. Sorry, didn't mean to confuse, I leave that job to you. "Das Wort für Welt ist Wald"? The closest analogy I can think of is; "Can't see the forest for the trees". I'll drink to that. In your words, "I have tried more than once to explain the whole story but every time had to learn that no one else was willing or able to follow ". Maybe this should have been written; "I don't have the talent to make my subject interesting and informative enough to gain a wider audience". Yes? Stay amazing, John W.
