Re: [Fractint] FOTD 14-03-05
The problem is fetes has an e with a hat on it. I can't even type it, probably with a special key sequence I could. Anyway, fractint has a real problem with that. Just try making a par file with the code and see what it does. I'm thinking Jim must be checking to see if we are awake! -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. One should be able to be type that by holding down the ALT-Key and using the number keypad to enter "0234" (without quotes): ê Or, for those that still have a working copy of the Microsoft Character Map program (CHARMAP.EXE), they can use that to copy many various characters.
Anyway, fractint has a real problem with that.
I was able to copy and paste the exact PAR file that Jim posted without doing any modifying of the name "Fêtes". And it rendered quite fine on my system using the latest version of FractInt. I then saved the GIF file and gave it the same name.
