FOTD -- March 23, 2010 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: There might have been a bug problem in the parameter file for the March 22 FOTD. If the file draws a blank, bring up the 'Z' screen and change the wrong value displayed in the real(p2) window from 0 to -1 . Today's image is a little better than yesterday's, though nowhere near a record and hardly worth a rating. It's a near Julia set of the East Valley of the Z^1.5+C Mandeloid. The reason for the name "Land of Pieces" will be obvious when the image is seen. But the calculation time of 13 minutes is more than the result will be worth. To avoid frustration, I recommend viewing the finished image on the FOTD web site at: <http://www.Nahee.com/FOTD/> Heavy clouds and frequent showers on Monday made the temperature of 64F 18C less enjoyable here at Fractal Central.
