You might be able to check your video card type by going to Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Device List (?), and there should be a tree of all the devices on the system. Just look for graphics or video or similar.
The route was different, but I found the following info: RADEON X-300 SE (0x5B60), ATI Technologies Inc. compatible I also saw 128mb memory listed, which I assume is video memory. Jim M.
The specs for the card that Sylvie mentioned are at: http://www.ati.com/products/radeonx300/specs.html Although this video card supports resolutions up to 2048x1536, it could be that the modes higher than 1280x1024 are not VESA. Its possible that the fractint config file could be modified to support 1600x1200 and maybe even higher, but I'm only speculating and have no access to test it. Same video card on a machine running XP Pro sp2 at work. Fractint works great at any resolution up to 1280 x 1024. Cheers, - Sylvie
