. Hey Jim - that certainly IS a fractal! Although the esthetic / artistic impression is not extreme, it definitely illustrates what a fractal is - endless repetition and self similarity. I have never seen one like this - awesome! Zooming OUT creates a finer and finer patchwork which seems to stop at around E-005, and you cant zoom out further than that for some reason I dont know. Zooming IN looks like a normal mandelbrot, but squashed a bit along the IMAG axis. A zoom animation may not be spectacular, but I will investigate. Maybe a morph - I will see. .
