Today's post has a lacy and delicate pattern. I used a blue palette. To make the re-sampled version I used my usual routine of generating the source image with horizontal and vertical dimensions scaled 4 times. This makes an image sixteen times the area with a corresponding increase in calculation time. To re-sample I then loaded it into Gimp, increased the color depth ( Gimp calls this using the RGB mode)scaled it down by a factor of four, did a little bit of sharpening and saved it as a high quality (low compression factor) jpg.
