A request to ATI Radeon VE display adapter users re Fractint.
Kim Hagar says:
I'm still puzzled [by not being able to display higher DOS resolutions even after running makefcfg.exe] and not sure what else to try. I'm running WinXP with SP2- patched to the hilt, and running McAffee antivirus, in case that might have any issue...
I have a Radeon VE display adapter (ATI Technologies) version 6.13.10.6006 My machine is a still-under-warranty Dell system.
I ran [makefcfg.exe]...as: makefcfg.exe 16 true overwrite and that added some VESA drives/modes, but I was unable to use any of them!
If anyone has an ATI Radeon VE display adapter and has tried to use Fractint with it, please send your experiences -- both good and bad (and op sys version) to the Fractint list serve. Thank you. - Hal Lane ######################### # hallane@earthlink.net # ######################### -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
