FOTD 05-09-05 (05-09-05 [NA])
FOTD -- September 05, 2005 (Rating NA) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Most of today's discussion appears in the philofractal version of the FOTD. Today's image is located in the fractal that results when Z^0.6 and Z^4 are combined and C is added. I have not given it a name, I have given it only a date for catalog purposes. The image was rendered with the outside set to 'tdis'. Since I put very little effort into the coloring, I gave the image no rating. The render time is a very fast 3/4 of one minute. And if this is not fast enough, the already-rendered GIF image has been posted to the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> The weather was perfect here at Fractal Central on Sunday. The fractal cats were perfect also. Today is starting perfect again, which is very good news for the duo. It looks like a slow contemplative day coming up for me. Some of my contempla- tions will appear in tomorrow's philofractal FOTD. Until then, take care, and be optimistic. Sorry about your difficulties in getting the FOTD webpage for that day. I was in a hurry to upload the files and missed the webpage for this month, even though the actual webpage for the FOTD day was there to be seen. I have been busy doing volunteer work here in Dallas, Texas, where thousands of people have shown up from our neighboring state. In case some people have not been aware of what is going on in the news over the past several days, Texas is doing more to help those people in need from the hurricane than any other effort (especially the Federal government). And the Dallas/Fort Worth area has taken in a large number of peope lately needing a place to stay (or even live). It seems that there are several fractalists that lived in the hurricane hit area. And I know of at least one that nobody has been able to get in touch with since just before the hurricane hit. Sincerely, P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/

We have friends who live in Baton Rouge. They tell us that Baton Rouge has 100,000+ people from New Orleans now. -- David gnome@hawaii.rr.com authenticity, honesty, community
