. Thanx everyone for the replys and suggestions; I will be investigating them but it will take time to work it all out. I'm sorry I was not aware of the apparent emotional "antagonism" between the two communities; I hope I haven't opened up a pandoras box here. I humbly vow never to bring it up again in this forum! More on track now, I have long been intrigued by the Julia rectangle. I actually did a modification of it a couple years ago, recently updated. It is the "bad trip" viddie on my site. And I just posted a simple zoom-in to Jim Muth's recent FOTD -- May 29, 2007 if anyone's interested. Short but cool. WMV, 640x480, 26 sec. 4.4 Meg http://www.fractal-animation.net/vid/outerdarkness.zip What is so special about the number 2.003 ? Is there some cosmic chaos significance? Will you get rectangles for exponent 2.0031, 2.004, 2.003001, etc. ?? Just another thing I need to investigate.... Stay amazed! JoTz .

I always enjoy seeing the various viddies which you create, but they are always direct links to files for download. How can we send others to your site so they may explore your creations?? I was wondering if you will ever be creating HTML documents (main index page and other navigable pages) for your Domain: http://www.fractal-animation.net/ Sincerely, P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/

Thank you. I had assumed that there was an "index.html" document which would automatically come up when only the Domain Name was used for a URL, but instead got a message about hosting with 1&1 Internet, Inc. I did find that there really is an "index.html" document: http://www.fractal-animation.net/index.html but it does not come up automatically and has to be used explicitly. Quite curious !! Thanks again, P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/
Most web servers have a setting of whether or not to serve a page automatically, and which one. index.html is just a common default setting. Paddy
