FOTD 12-10-08 (Red Line Railroad [No Rating])
FOTD -- October 12, 2008 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's fractal is not only late, it is lucky to be here at all. On Saturday, FL and I spent the day wandering aimlessly around the Gettysburg Military Park, and we didn't get back to FC until almost midnight. We saw no ghosts there, but I have no doubt that ghosts, whatever they are, actually exist in the area. I also sometimes wonder about my own credulity, since I believe in the reality of ghosts, (as well as fractals), while at the same time, I am the first to laugh at claims of UFO's carrying alien visitors from space. It's the day Columbus discovered America, and to celebrate the occasion we have a Fractal of the Day. To see the image, run the included parameter file and wait 14 seconds, or go to the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> and see the finished product there. I named the image "Red Line Railroad" because it is filled with reds and also has the rail yard effect. Saturday was absolutely perfect in Gettysburg -- not a cloud in the sky and a temperature of 73F 23C. The fractal cats told me it was pretty much the same here at FC. If I feel fractalish, the next image will be posted in about 8 hours. Until then, take care, and sometimes fractals are hauntingly beautiful.
