FOTD -- October 14, 2008 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: The minibrot of order 1-1/3 at the center of today's image gives me a feeling of gloom. Just look at the dark somber colors filling the screen. No wonder I named it "Depressed Minibrot". The shape of the minibrot pretty much mirrors the shape of its parent fractal, whose main spike it lies on. Putting almost no effort into the image, I could hardly give it a rating. Then again, maybe it is better than I think. Some- times I come up with these images intuitively, almost without effort, and therefore consider them worthless. The calculation time of 29 seconds is faster than light, which means that the calculation will be finished 34 seconds before it is begun. I make no comment on what will happen if, 34 seconds after seeing the finished image appear on your screen, you decide not to run the parameter file after all. All such paradoxes may be avoided by viewing the completed image on the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> Lots of clouds marred the sky over Fractal Central on Monday, but the temperature of 68F 20C kept things quite pleasant. At least the fractal cats thought so as they checked the back yard to be sure no unwanted stray cats were in the vicinity. My day was another hectic one.
