FOTD 10-03-10 (Something in Sight [7])
FOTD -- March 10, 2010 (Rating 7) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: I'll not try to explain the details of how today's image came to be. Suffice it to say it's a four-dimensional very-near-Julia thing of an East Valley area, made interesting by rendering the all-outside scene with the outside set to 'real'. I have lost track of how long the current string of 7-rated images has been going, but a rating of a 7 indicates an image that I consider above average, so why complain? The name "Something in Sight" sounds like it means something, while it actually has no meaning at all. The calculation time of a brief 1-1/2 minutes may be avoided by viewing the finished image on the FOTD web site at: <http://www.Nahee.com/FOTD/> The FOTD images will remain available on the old web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> until A.T.T. takes down the site. Not a single cloud marred the blue of the sky here at Fractal Central on Tuesday. The spring-like temperature of 63F 17C simply added to the enjoyable conditions. The fractal cats, who always enjoy enjoyable conditions, enjoyed things as much as possible. They took turns basking in the strong afternoon sun coming through the large southwest window. My day was peaceful enough, though I did spend a bit too much time pondering the mysteries of things such as the nature of reality, time and space, life and death, God and the universe, and last but not least, the helplessness of our sorry excuse of a 'science' to give answers to such questions. (Don't knock it; it's all we got.) FL feels that too much such pondering can make one crazy. But with me, who would notice the difference? Regardless, the next FOTD, glorious or not, will be posted in 24 hours. Until then, take care, and why is there something instead of nothing in the world of fractals?
