I've started to place the more-or-less raw OCR records of "Fractal Creations", 2nd Edition, page by page at http://www3.telus.net/JohnW/Fractint. Hopefully the quality and quantity will improve with time! John W.

I'm not necessarily opposed to the "scan Fractal Creations 2nd Edition (FC2E)" effort, nor am I necessarily opposed eventually to having it online. However fundamental intellectual property considerations and common courtesy dictate not placing any soft copies of copyrighted materials online without permission (I own the rights to FC2E). Please do not post soft copies of FC2E without checking with me first. One concern I have is not to have poor or incomplete copies running around. I'd rather keep the copies limited to people actually working on them until the project is done. Tim Wegner
Oh dear, I thought that you had given your tacit consent and even encouraged this endeavour, in your message of 13/06/20004, under the title of "Multiple boot for Fractint users." I apparently misunderstood you. My apologies. It's all gone.
