You are correct about the color changing - it is due to logmap=2 setting, and the actual value calculated is a function of zoom depth, which of course, is steadily increasing. I think it creates a cool effect; it looks best when the palette map is smooth color transitions. When there are many individual boxes in the palette map that suddenly are of a different color [like a lot of Muth's maps], you get the sudden jerks - which may or may not look good. I have had MANY people online over the years ask me HOW THE $%@& DO YOU DO THAT IT LOOKS SO AWESOME and I can only tell them to get into a time machine, go back 20 years and learn DOS and FRACTINT! <G>. I am not familiar with MS windows after XP, but I know that in almost ALL video/media players there is a right click menu to adjust speed, pause, etc. Just play around with the software - you'll find it. ------- End of forwarded email ----------------- --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus
