So, Jim Muth, here is your possibility [by using U.F.] to do deepzoom dives - arbitrary precision math - into your MandelbrotMix formulas).
As I wrote in a recent message, I have U.F. on another computer, and I already use it to do deep dives into some FOTD images. In fact, I have several other fractal generating programs on my computers, though I most often use Fractint, (and to a lesser degree, U.F.). Your letter makes a fine commercial promotion for U.F. Are you trying to lure more Fractinters into the U.F. fold? Most on this list are already aware of the capability of U.F., and many already have it on their computers. As for myself, I have found that Fractint best matches my short-burst- of-activity style of fractaling. And let's be realistic. Those who use U.F. are more likely to see fractals as a means of artistic expression, (There is nothing wrong with this -- fractals are indeed a great new means of artistic expression.), while those who use Fractint are more likely to see fractals as abstract mathematical objects made visible. Since I am more interested in the mathematical aspect, though I subscribe to both mailing lists, I find myself more at home using Fractint and discussing fractals on the Fractint list. Jim M.
Who's using Batch211, Fractal Animator, Fractal Animation Engine, or Filmer to write batch files for Fractint? Which ones really work? I'd like some advise and help please.... TIA Tony

oh, interesting question, for me too! Where can I find these programs? It would be great too, if the evolver-params could be saved in a batch-file.. cheers, Guy
Guy: Fa100.zip is included in the large collection of pars, frms, and maps, in fracxtr6.zip Spanky of course is the first place to go FA which is inside fracxtr6.zip. ftp://fractal.mta.ca/pub/spanky/programs/ibmpc/fracxtr6.zip FAE is also on Spanky http://spanky.fractint.org/pub/fractals/programs/ibmpc/fae210b.zip. Filmer is also on Spanky http://spanky.fractint.org/pub/fractals/programs/ibmpc/film112.zip Fractfly is also on Spanky http://spanky.fractint.org/pub/fractals/programs/ibmpc/fractfly.zip Fractalus is also a good second place. http://www.fractalus.com/ftp/pub/extras/fracxtr6.zip Enjoy! Guy: I'm posting samples of the FAE210B script, PAR, MAP, and BAT files that I used with Fractint to create of one of my most recent spiral zoom animations. You should be able to edit 5spiral.fae and the various bat files to work with your own personal Par, Map, and Formula files. I've commented them a little to help you orient, edit and modify them to suit your own system's needs. My FAE script 5spiral.fae generates all the BAT and PAR files necessary to drive Fractint to create 2,200 Gif files which take up approx. 445 Meg of Hard drive space on my Win98 system. These Gif files can then be assembled into video files and viewed with the appropriate software. That's for another e-mail discussion. Please don't plagerize me too much.... Let me know how it all worked for you.
