Just fired up Fractint the other day to show my 6 year old son about them. We got some 3-D images rendered and he had fun watching them with his own pair of 3-D blue/red glasses. Then I gave my wife a tutorial of Fractint and talked about some of the practical applications people have discovered utilizing fractal geometry. Nice to hear from Jim again.
