This fractal looks a bit like gold filigree. The formula is a variation of the parallel resistor formula with three z^2 components. The components are centered at -4.5, 0, and +4.5 along the imaginary y axis. Your image reminds me of gold filigree surrounding many slices of some type of gem stone, maybe a geode.
