Hi, referring to the latest editon of the general discussion.As no objections received I´m going on. qte:Violence in life and in media and suicide by atomic disasters are symptoms of an apokalyptic end time scenario. I have my own theory about religion and human behaviour, only vagely connected to fractals. Not sure if it´s ok to discuss it here. Tell me.unqte When life came to earth it was just one cell, some molecules inside some kind of skin. But this organism was capable to take energy from the outside and reproduce itself. It could do that because it´s parts were capable of some kind of communication in order to achieve this common goal. The next step, a multicellular organism was much more complex, it could interact with others and build up "sexual" behaviour.It´s parts, the living cells had their own meaning and task to serve the organism. And they still used the same way of communication. The next step was the swarm, many organisms, fish or birds for example, acting like one single organism. Birds, so far away from each other that they cannot see the ones at the far end of the swarm still perform the same movements, simultenously! The medium carrying these informations has not been detected as far as I know. But it is still the same as that one in the single cell. Later, when intelligence occurred the individuals started talking and giving names to things. They discovered that something was there to guide them in their swarm. - They called it GOD. - But it was still the same as in the single cell organism. Within short time some individuals discovered that they could make others do what they wanted if they said it was GOD who wanted that.

From there it´s a straight way to all the horrors produced by the christian church in the name of GOD. I stick to the christian church for good reasons. The ""holy"" wars, the burning of witches, the condemnation of sex and the rapture of small boys which is one and the same thing. And terrorizing the people by that never ending banging from their churches. And the "swarm behaviour" is still alive, we all have seen the pictures.

That´s it, simple and full of logic. And it helps if you´re having a bad conscience thinking of throwing it all overboard... I havent read the book "the swarm" although my little sister told me to do that. And the connection to fractals? See my message apr,11 addressed to jim qte: Also for me fractals are a big mystery, which possibly never can be fully explained on our level of existence. Maybe to understand we will have to go to the level of elementary particles, if ever. Imagine that everything is one big "fractal" unity and on this level there are no distances between systems...unqte I think, possibly fractals are part of the universe of elementary particles like many other things, ghosts, self similarity between members of a species. Think of that pair of particles, one on the moon and the other one on earth.If one changes it´s status, the other one changes simultaneously. What do you think? Sincerely, Albrecht
