Tony - wondered what happened to you! Glad U back. Have you had any luck making fractal animations?? I sympathize with your employment woes; my profession has been hit just as hard. I'm glad I didn't switch careers to IT like I was thinking back in '99. As it is, I was unemployed for 10 months in 2003. It happens to other people too ... But there is a thundercloud in every silver lining <g>. I had the time to do much fractalizing and in fact accomplished some of my best work in that period. And as it will always happen, with effort, persistance and a bit of luck, you get back on your feet again and are actually better for the experience. I have left the miserable NorthEast and am now in God's beautiful Colorado! As for ultrafractal - Heaven forbid! We all know that REAL fractalnauts only use Fractint! Long live the Cult of Fractint! Hey JoTz: Had a one man show in Oct 2003 in Kingston, NY where I showcased my fractal animations, fractal music, and fractal art which I giclee (with my trusty HPDJ3500CP) printed onto paper, canvas, and silk... the women went bananas for the fractals on silk.....they made exquisite scarves and wall hangings...got a great review in the local Poughkeepsie rag... Then I got incredibly sick from some weird airborne wood fungus spores while working... almost died in the hospital ER, lost job, lost apartment etc... lost 100 lbs...moved a couple of times... met a gorgeous hottie... moved in with her... had a few more hand-to-mouth jobs... but in the meantime, have set up a dream fractal studio in the basement... and am starting up the fractal mania once again.... gotta admit I doooo sometimes use ultrafractal to render images that I've created in fractint cause UF does render faster than Fractint... I definitely want to hear more about any of your animating fractals!!!! All the best... good to hear from you... I'll keep you posted..
