Thanks for the link to your latest fractal music! 20021904.MID is very calming and relaxing. It somehow makes me feel like a king with his court musicians playing for me as I sit on my throne... What are the specific characteristics of this piece that you worked to create? - Hal Lane ######################## # hallane@earthlink.net ######################## -----Original Message----- From: Fractint <fractint-bounces@mailman.xmission.com> On Behalf Of Albrecht Niekamp Sent: Friday, March 1, 2019 3:24 PM To: Fractint and General Fractals Discussion <fractint@mailman.xmission.com> Subject: [Fractint] Fractint This is my latest creation of fractal music 20021904.MID one drive link ; https://1drv.ms/f/s!AmWYApv7ZBFGgZ83hsSNSBsAHb5cJg ; anyone still active please revert there will be more if positive Albrecht _______________________________________________ Fractint mailing list Fractint@mailman.xmission.com https://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus
Hi Albrecht - surprised to see you again, but hope you stick around for a while. I listened to your midi file and, since it is a midi file, it played with the default piano for all channels. I find that to be rather boring. So I downloaded a midi editor and changed the instruments in a rather random way, saving the result to a short mp3 file that you can check out at https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ah2Ddfy0Uwi4iWT24TpX3S68CHm5 I think it is more interesting to have a variety of instrumentation, especially with the multiple channels you have - 10-11 if I recall. I know that .mid files are very small, but don't always yield the desired results. By the way, in your absence I have uploaded a few audio fractal files that you might want to check out. Look out for "Requiem", "Chaos City", and "Peace and Love" which can be found at Audio Fractals <https://sites.google.com/site/audiofractals/home> Cheers, Bill Jemison Audio Fractals <https://sites.google.com/site/audiofractals/home> On Fri, Mar 1, 2019 at 1:24 PM Albrecht Niekamp <multifrac@t-online.de> wrote:

Bill, Thanks for the link to your "almost priceless" CD, and to your "variation" on Albrecht's recent MIDI file. I hope I'm able to listen to everything soon. Btw, Albrecht recommends replacing the Windows default MIDI instruments with the much higher quality ones that can be found on the internet. He said: "...check the net (free download) for SGM-VS.01.7z this is the page with instructions: http://tinyurl.com/Make-midi-files-sound-better or: http://www.informatics-tech.com/how-to-make-midi-files-sound-better.html [The page] also contains the [download] link. - Hal Lane ######################## # hallane@earthlink.net ######################## -----Original Message----- From: Fractint <fractint-bounces@mailman.xmission.com> On Behalf Of Bill Jemison Sent: Monday, March 4, 2019 2:52 PM To: Fractint and General Fractals Discussion <fractint@mailman.xmission.com> Subject: Re: [Fractint] Fractint Hi Albrecht - surprised to see you again, but hope you stick around for a while.
