It is with Mint 11 & 12. I just checked. Try Synaptic Package Manager. As you know Linux is getting a bit fragmented. Just because Debian has something (of "doesn't" in your case) doesn't mean another distro based on Debian won't. Also sometmes the 32 bit version might be a bit different from the 64 bit version. -----Original Message-----

That's what I'm using, on Debian Sid. Have been using Debian for many years, and they used to have it. Ah, just found it. By default, Sid doesn't include contrib or non-free sections ... and XFractint is categorized as "non-free". Had to update sources to include those, then it showed up.

Using 32-bit here, which is all this old Intel Celeron can handle. There's a 64-bit version for the desktop machine, though. ;-)
