FOTD 22-03-10 (Steroid Fractal [No Rating])
FOTD -- March 22, 2010 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: POSSIBLE NEW FORMULA! It's another minor variation on the workhorse MandAutoCritInZ formula. This might or might not be the first time I have posted it. In any case, I'll probably use it very rarely. We were still a bit depressed here at FC on Sunday, and I actually felt a bit angry -- not the proper conditions for fractal work -- but with today's off-beat formula I still turned up a quick image, which appears as today's FOTD. The parent fractal is nothing more than two small and distorted Mandelbrot sets. Today's image lies in a disconnected area of chaos near the southernmost Mandelbrot set. Since I put no effort into the image, I gave it no rating. The name "Steroid Fractal" grossly exaggerates the worth of Sunday's fractal work.
