FOTD -- August 18, 2009 (Rating 5.5) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's image lies in the fractal that results when 5.5 negative parts of Z^(-1.5) are combined with 2.5 negative parts of Z^(-5.1) and (1/C) is added. The portions are rather whimsical, as is today's image, which I named "Mixed Messages" for no logical reason. The rating of a 5.5 indicates that I do not consider the image to be of the top rank, but I still feel it is worth the brief 1-2/3 minutes required to calculate it from scratch. As for more details about the image, there is little to be said. It's an image that speaks for itself, and even then it has little to say. The fractal cats reminded us that they would like it a little cooler by stretching out in the doorway to the bathroom, making us step over them. My day was appropriately busy.
