FOTD -- October 16, 2006 (Rating 4) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: On today's fractal journey, we venture to the fractal that results when portions of Z^8 and Z^(-1.1) are combined. Giving the fractal a brief examination, we notice a small and very twisted quadratic midget. Today's scene is located near this larger midget. Today's image is outstandingly ordinary, leading me to name it "An Ordinary Fractal". An ordinary fractal image deserves an ordinary rating, and there is nothing extraordinary about today's rating of a barely acceptable 4. There is not much to be said about today's fractal, which speaks for itself -- in the silent language of numbers of course. The calculation of 2-1/2 minutes will try the patience of no one. They were more interested in the squirrels that were gathering nuts outside the window that serves as their television receiver. My day was busier than expected, which shows in the lack-luster fractal that masquerades as today's FOTD. Tomorrow will likely be similar. Hopefully, the fractal that appears 24 hours from now will be better.
