Interesting pics Paul, those really are holes - they don't resolve into anything when you zoom in or up the iter count. Except #2, if you zoom into the center those barely visible spots off center resolve into intricate filaments, almost like a Cantor Set. And you can zoom further in to see more holes and things. I may do a zoom animation with this ...
