FOTD -- February 09, 2007 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's pleasant fractal has nothing unusual to boast. It is simply an attractively colored midget in the parent fractal that results when 2 parts of Z^(0.25) are combined with Z^2, and C is added. This parent fractal is basically a Mandelbrot set twisted out of its familiar shape and surrounded with extra debris and assorted holes. Ignoring all the extra stuff, I found today's scene in the East Valley area of the parent. Since the image is so ordinary, I gave it no name or rating. But it is still a well-colored image that renders in a short 5-1/2 minutes. The image may also be seen by viewing it on the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> The sun shone brilliantly here at Fractal Central on Thursday, but the cold temperature of 27F -3C and a brisk wind made it quite unpleasant to be out of doors.
