FOTD -- December 21, 2009 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's short discussion tells of another very busy day. Today's image lies in the same parent fractal as yesterday's image. Since I found the image almost automatically, I could give it no rating. The name "Wil-of-the-Fractal" refers to the wil-o'-the-wisp, which is actually nothing more mysterious than a slowly oxidizing blob of swamp gas. The calculation time of 1-1/3 minutes is satisfyingly fast, as fast, in fact, as the trip to view the completed image on the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> Sunday here at Fractal Central began with an hour of sidewalk clearing. The rest of the day featured lots of sun, melting snow, and a temperature of 36F 2C. The fractal cats watched from the window with interest as I cleared away the snow. Then they took advantage of the ample sun. For me and FL, the rest of the day was very busy with work. The next FOTD is due in 24 hours.
