FOTD -- November 14, 2008 (Rating 7) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's image is a scene just east of East Valley of the large minibrot on the infinitely-divided negative spike of the Z^(2.000001)+C Mandeloid. As the 'Y' parameter of 0.000005... shows, the scene is actually located at the edge of the spike. The mathtolerance entry is necessary to assure that the para- meter file runs at the correct magnitude. I named the image "Webs of Intrigue" because of the cobweb-like features surrounding the central minibrot. I was going to name it "Web of Desire" but decided that this sounds too much like the title of one of those latin tele-novellas (limited soap operas) FL, who speaks Spanish, watches so many of. The rating of a 7 pleases me and does not exaggerate the worth of the image. After all, this is not the first time we have seen such fractal cobwebs. The calculation time of just under 1-1/2 minutes is easy to digest. Early in the day the fractal cats gave up hope for sun, and spent the afternoon sleeping near the radiator. My day was busy enough for me to forget the rain. The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.
